Escape from the Blackdown Hills

After finding the centre of Blackdown Hills ANOB (area of outstanding natural beauty), I completed eight ‘escapes’ on foot, each following a point on the compass, between the shortest and longest days of the year. The routes were planned using mapping software and recorded using a hand held GPS. The resulting body of work is a collection of drawings and photographs that combine spatial and time-based statistical data with emotional responses to the landscape.
